Launching our new resources section
As part of Plant Health Week 2022 we are launching a new ‘Resources’ section on our website. This section is aimed at stakeholders and non-specialists who might be looking for information about identifying or managing bacterial plant diseases. It includes factsheets, videos, scientific information and even games. Some of the resources have been created by our project teams, others are from trustworthy sources including universities, the Royal Horticultural Society, and non-profit organisations like CABI. Visit our Resources pages here or use the link on the main menu.
To whet your appetite here are a few of our favourites.
- Learn about bacterial tree diseases with a set of factsheets created by the BAC-STOP team
- Find out what you can do to help reduce the risk of introducing Xylella to the UK in this video from the BRIGIT project (narrated by Dame Helen Mirren no less!)
- Test your observation skills and identify pests and diseases (not all caused by bacteria) in CABI’s app-based Pest Diagnostic Simulator game. Download it for Android from the Google Play Store
You can find lots of other accessible resources and information about bacterial plant diseases over on our Resources pages. They are organised by disease to make it easy to find what you are interested in. This will be an ever-growing resource and we’d love to hear about any resources you find useful that we have missed. We hope you find what you are looking for – and if you don’t please do get in touch.
