2022 – Review of the Year
We’ve made it to the end of 2022! For most of us this has been the first full year since 2019 that has felt kind of ‘normal’. For the Bacterial Plant Disease Programme this return to normality made for a busy year. We enthusiastically embraced opportunities to connect face to face and catch up with delayed research projects.
Highlights of 2022 included:
- Getting together face to face for the first time in March
- Taking part in the Plant Health Week in May
- The BAC-STOP and Future Oak open day in July
- The Disease Suppressive Microbes project’s art installation, Lullabiome, at the Great Yorkshire Show
- A BAC-STOP poster winning at the International Plant Health Conference
- Our ECRs Development workshop in October
We asked all of our projects to send in photos of what they’d been up to. We selected two for our 2023 bookmarks and you can see the others in our video review of the year. You can watch the video below or on YouTube
As we sign off for 2022, everyone in the BPD Coordination team and projects wishes you a wonderful festive season and a hopeful start to 2023.
