Masterclass 1: Making the Most of Interdisciplinarity

Increasingly, complex research challenges require interdisciplinary approaches. Increasingly, too, funders require interdisciplinarity. This masterclass will describe what interdisciplinarity actually is and why it is sought, along with the challenges and opportunities it presents to researchers. However, the emphasis of the masterclass will be on the ‘how’ of interdisciplinarity, offering practical guidance to researchers at all career stages.
