Have you ever wondered how to edit Wikipedia? Have you found an error or a gap that you wanted to correct? Have you ever wished there were better images on Wikimedia? Wikipedia is the world’s largest online encyclopedia and it is created and maintained by people like you. Contributing to Wikipedia and connected sites can be a great way to contribute to getting better information out into the world and ensuring an enduring legacy for your work. It’s also an opportunity to practice writing for non-specialists.
We are organising online training which is open to everyone connected to the BPD Programme. There will be two training sessions delivered by Wikipedia expert Kirsty Ross. After the course Sarah McLusky will arrange some co-working sessions to help you work on your edits.
Session 1 ā Introduction and getting started
Session 2 ā Editing content
