No decline in oak research in 2021
Sandra Denman (Forest Research and project lead for the BAC-STOP project) recently wrote a summary of her team’s research activities for the annual Woodland Heritage Journal. Normally only available to Woodland Heritage members, we are delighted to have permission to share the article here.
In the article Sandra gives a comprehensive update of their activities in 2021/22 including:
- field trials investigating the impact of environmental conditions on predisposition to acute oak decline
- rearing Agrilus biguttatus beetles for innoculation trials
- monitoring oak tree health and both chronic and acute oak decline
- investigating attitudes towards oak trees and acute oak decline
